Whisper is gone, but the idea behind it isn't. EchoX is a free anonymous app where you post what's really on your mind, see what people near you are saying, and talk to them, all without your real name.
Feels familiar
No real name, email or phone number. Pick a name and say what you actually think.
Post your thought over a color or a photo, so every echo looks like its own little poster.
The Local feed shows echoes from your area, with a rough distance and never your location.
Reply in the open, or message someone privately when a conversation deserves more.
Switch to Global or Popular to see what everyone is talking about right now.
Confessions, late-night thoughts, things you can’t say anywhere else. That’s what it’s for.
And a few things that are new
Find a corner that fits, from music and gaming to late nights and 18+ spaces, or start your own.
A stranger’s first message waits for you to accept it, and you see who they are before you reply.
Accounts our moderators flag as scams or fake profiles carry a clear caution note in chats.
Our Community Guidelines and even the moderators’ handbook are public, and every penalty can be appealed.
Bold, italic and underline in messages, GIFs, photos and emoji reactions.
Free in the App Store and Google Play, or use it straight from your browser.
